Commas are  used at different places at different times. Commas are used t separate words especially if they are acting in a list of words such as: Billy, Johny, and Tom. In most cases when two adjectives are present then put a comma in between. When you place a comma, most of the time the comma represents the word "and", so if a comma makes sentence in a spot then so should the word "and" in a lot of times. A sentence that contains a name has a comma close by, but mainly in front of the name. put a comma as well behind the specific day of a month when the year follows. If a part of the date is missing then leave the comma out. A comma also needs to be placed between the specific city and then the state. when a sentence can not be spoken in a flow then commas are used. Ex: The day the test was, which was on Thursday, she barley studied, but she still received above a 95%. A dependent clause is sometimes used to start out as, in this case put a comma after the independent clause has been said and so the independent clause will follow. When a specific person is described then put commas. Ex: Gloria, who went out to sell cookies, ran into a pull. The girl who went out to sell cookies ran into pull. If two independent clauses are right next to another with a coordinating conjunction and the sentences are not t short then place a comma. A comma Splice is only different from  a run on sentence by the comma that is in between the sentences. I quotation mark uses, a comma is placed before the quote starts with its quotation marks and in between the last quotation and the end word of the quote. Ex: He said, "do you know how hard life is when you are stressed out." Do not put a comma in between sentences when only one sentence contains the subject. Separate  a statement from a question. By contrasting two sentences use a comma. Ex: this the her dog, not the neighbours. When a subordinating is at the begging of a sentence then place a comma after it. Any disturbance in a sentence is combined with a comma or such punctuation.
